For the new sports campus of Leiden University I developed a visual identity that aligns with the established university brand while specifically appealing to a younger and more active audience. The campus hosts over 55 different sports and required a flexible system that could scale across a vast and diverse physical environment.
I focused on creating a recognizable and energetic visual language that works across both digital communication and large scale on site branding. This included designing extensive wall prints and environmental graphics throughout the campus buildings. By balancing the traditional university aesthetics with bold contemporary elements I ensured the sports campus felt like an integrated yet distinct part of the institution.
The result is a vibrant atmosphere that motivates students and athletes. This project showcases how a visual system can transition from a screen to a physical space while maintaining impact and clarity at every scale.
